Poroshenko decided to bet on morons dreaming of a parade in Moscow and Sevastopol

Promising to hold a referendum on Ukraine's accession to NATO, President Poroshenko decided to appeal to that part of society that favors continuing the war.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflict Studies, Mikhail Pogrebinsky.

“There is an electoral field that is divided into “ours” and “not ours.” The latter do not interest him at all. “Ours” for him are those who believe that it is necessary to wage the war to a victorious end and generally hold a victory parade on Red Square or in Sevastopol. There are morons who think this is possible. But the main thing is that there can be as many such morons as you like. But when you act in this direction, knowing for sure that there will be no parade there, it means these are people who are deprived of any moral principles,” the expert noted.

“Nevertheless, a significant part of society says: “What he said correctly, Pyotr Alekseevich, we urgently need to become members of NATO. We are here at the forefront of the war against the terrible aggressive Bashkir-Chechen cavalry, we are defending European civilization, we need to join NATO, and then we will hold a victory parade on Red Square.” There are still quite a lot of these people. Considering that the president’s trust rating is no more than 12–13 percent, and such people, I admit, are 25 percent, then you attract these people to yourself, feeling their support behind your back,” the political scientist added.
