Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at an event dedicated to Diplomatic Service Day, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Dear friends! No one probably knows the meanness of the Ukrainian regime better than we, Ukrainians. Our historical mission is to fight at the forefront of the civilized world in the fight against Russian imperialism and demonstrate ourselves at our best. Therefore, I give our diplomats the task of doing everything in our power for the successful integration of Ukraine into the European Union and the Euro-Atlantic Alliance. In this union, Ukraine must forever put an end to Moscow’s attempts to return us to its sphere of influence,” Poroshenko solemnly stated.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian president had previously made a similar slip of the tongue, stating that the Ukrainian occupation of Donbas was temporary.
