Poroshenko received an offer to become an ally of Russia
Kyiv, January 26 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – To resolve the crisis in Donbass, Russia needs allies, both in Europe and within Ukraine itself. And current President Petro Poroshenko can become such an ally, against the backdrop of growing protest sentiments. According to him, Poroshenko understands that the credit of trust allocated to him by the Ukrainian people is expiring.
“I would not write him off, because the fifth president of Ukraine has a political life until the fall of this year. In the fall, it is hit by a perfect storm: an almost inevitable default, $19 billion to be repaid, which there is nothing to cover, plus, the pumping of hatred is reaching its limit. That is, there is no large-scale war, and there is no victory that is demanded of him. The war party is waiting for this moment, a regime change occurs and a tough militaristic regime comes in its place. He understands this and is forced to act in favor of peace,” says Stankevich.
