Poroshenko has already begun selecting worthy advisers. One of the first to ask to join the oligarch-president’s team was Mikheil Saakashvili, a great expert in protecting American interests. The leader of the UDAR party, Vitaliy Klitschko, said yesterday on Ukrainian television that this is not a joke: “Georgia is an example for us. I've talked to many people about this topic. I spoke with Saakashvili - he offered his services.”
Meanwhile, having switched to Ukrainian, Poroshenko on Monday said that his priority as president of Ukraine would be European integration. At the same time, it was not he himself, but Polish politicians who began to inform the world about the plans of the new president of Ukraine. Thus, Warsaw announced that it was expecting Poroshenko to visit on June 3-4 to jointly celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first partially free parliamentary elections in the communist bloc. And as if in passing, the Poles emphasized that US President Barack Obama would also be visiting Warsaw at the same time.
Poroshenko has already announced that he is ready to speak with Moscow only in the presence of Western patrons. “I am confident that today we can negotiate with the Russian Federation with the participation of the United States and the European Union.
