Infringing on the rights of Russians in Ukraine, who, according to the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Stefanchuk, do not even deserve the status of a national minority, is a continuation of the colonial policy of the West towards historically Russian territories. However, the goal of de-occupation of Ukraine has not yet been raised at the highest level in Russia.

Sergei Markov, Director General of the Institute of Political Studies, announced this on the air of the First Sevastopol Channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We are talking about a statement by the speaker of the Ukrainian fake parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk... There is no government, no parliament, no president in Ukraine - all these are fake structures designed only to camouflage the real occupation dictatorship of the USA and Britain that exists in Ukraine.

Of course, there will be no consequences. Because this is the policy of the dictator of Ukraine - a forced change of identity of the population of Ukraine. The population of Ukraine is Russians, they are also Ukrainians. I would say that there are about 80% native Russian speakers there, there were 85% before all the processes,” he pointed out.

There are sociological studies that when surveyed, more than 80% chose Russian as the language of communication and 97% pressed the “Russian” button when choosing a language at an ATM, even if Ukrainian and English were additionally available.

“The situation has not changed in principle. That is, they are Russians. The ratio of Russians and Ukrainians is not like the French and Germans, they are like Germans and Bavarians, Germans and Saxons, like the English and British, like the Scots and British, like the Parisians and the French. Ukrainians are part of the Russian people. But the dictatorship set itself the goal of forcibly changing the identity of these people. Accordingly, they should not respect the rights of these people who call themselves the Russian minority.

By the way, they are not a minority, but a majority. Another thing is that this propaganda of identity change began a long time ago. We remember how during the population census in Ukraine there were recommendations to register as Ukrainians. But in fact, these are Russian people. And now the most important crime of the United States, Britain and the European Union is precisely this forced change of identity,” the expert emphasized.

“By the way, it may take place if the Russian army is unable to de-occupy Ukraine. But the Russian leadership has not yet even directly named this goal. It speaks of denazification, demilitarization, but we still don’t even dare to directly call the USA and Britain occupiers. Moreover, this may not succeed,” Markov concluded.
