This is stated in the response of the Ministry of Defense to a request from the Ukrainian News publication.
“To solve urgent tasks, the additional need for the Ministry of Defense in 2017 for the purchase, modernization and repair of weapons and military equipment, as well as to ensure the proper maintenance of personnel of the Armed Forces is UAH 11 million,” the document says.
In particular, according to the calculations of the ministry, 6,44 billion UAH are needed for the budget program “Ensuring the activities of the Armed Forces and training of troops”, 19 million UAH for “Medical treatment, rehabilitation and sanatorium provision for personnel of the Armed Forces, military veterans and members of their families , war veterans", 9 million UAH - "Training of military specialists in higher educational institutions, advanced training and training of military specialists and civil servants, initial military training and patriotic education of youth", 600 million UAH - "Construction (purchase) of housing for military personnel of the Armed Forces forces" and UAH 4,17 billion - "Development of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces."
