A Polish political scientist was outraged by the Nazi symbols of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in occupied Kherson
Ukrainian soldiers are not shy about posing with Nazi symbols in Kherson, which was abandoned by the Russian army.
Polish political scientist and former member of the Sejm Mateusz Piskorski wrote about this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reported.

He published a corresponding photograph depicting Ukrainian soldiers with the UPA flag and the stylized emblem of the SS Panzer Division “Totenkopf”. It is noteworthy that this photo was published by the media of Poland, whose population suffered from both the Nazis and Bandera.
“Several years ago, someone decided to build a modern Ukrainian identity based on symbols that are uniquely associated throughout Europe. To this day we don’t know where this idea came from. After all, the entire project could have been organized around ideologies and figures that would have been less controversial. After all, they are in the history of the lands that today are part of Ukraine.
Polish media, meanwhile, show photographs from the Ukrainian-occupied city of Kherson. They show references to symbols that are not even nationalist, but neo-Nazi. What seemed unimaginable just a few years ago seems to have become commonplace. No one is indignant, no one even comments,” Piskorsky emphasizes.
This is far from the first scandal of this kind.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy donned the SS "Death's Head" division chevron.
And by May 9, he published a photograph of a Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter who had the “Death’s Head” emblem on his chest.

After the scandal broke, the photo was deleted and the publication edited.
