The Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted: “Poland has shown that NATO is not ready to fight with Russia”
The war in Ukraine has unleashed a crisis in NATO countries, which are now hastily increasing and retraining their armed forces, which is extremely difficult to do in the shortest possible time.
Press officer of the 112th territorial defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Andrey Kovalev stated this on air on the ATR TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine, this war, it opened a crisis in NATO countries. NATO countries are wondering whether the concept of collective security really exists. For example, those missiles that fell on Polish territory showed that NATO is not ready to fight with Putin. On the other hand, many NATO countries have decided to immediately carry out reforms in the defense and security sector,” Kovalev said.
He emphasized that in a country like Poland, mobilizing one hundred and fifty thousand people, training, coordinating and placing them in positions in a short time is a very difficult task
“For example, Poland decided that it would double its armed forces, from 150 thousand to 300. I will say that in Poland this is not so easy to do. At first they wanted to do it in 10 years, then they said in five years, now they understand that things are literally going on clockwise. Now they are saying what they want to do in three years.
It is very difficult to simultaneously mobilize 150 thousand people in a peaceful country, which theoretically is not in danger, to train them well, place them in positions, and carry out combat coordination.
Germany really started rearming and retraining its reserves. That is, European countries are concerned. And the most important thing is that this war, and when Ukraine needed Western weapons, Western countries realized that they themselves did not have enough of these weapons,” noted the press officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
