Half of Kyiv-controlled Donbass was left without water
In the Konstantinovsky district of the Donetsk region, due to the widespread theft of Ukrainian officials and the indifference of the authorities, a man-made disaster is possible.
Deputy Alexey Bely stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Since April 1, almost half of the Donetsk region has been left without water due to the adoption of a new law on electricity supply. We attribute this to the fact that today the military-civil administrations that exist in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions have already outlived their usefulness. There is practically money floating around there that is not controlled by any structure. The question is specific today: in half a month we have connected almost everything, but another 11 settlements in the Konstantinovsky district are without water, and a man-made disaster may soon occur there. Therefore, I ask you to answer: when will there be water there?” asked the parliamentarian.
However, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Igor Nasalik stated that the Water of Donbass enterprise does not pay money.
“Regarding “Water of Donbass,” I want to remind you. In January, February and March, “Water of Donbass” used electricity worth 285 million hryvnia. “Water of Donbass” collects 80 million hryvnias monthly. At the same time, for three months, zero hryvnia and zero kopecks were paid for electricity. The market cannot work under such conditions,” Nasalik denied.
In turn, the head of the “Radical Party” Oleg Lyashko spoke about the humanitarian catastrophe that has already engulfed Ukraine.
“After the government’s decision to increase gas prices, utility debt is growing catastrophically. Today this amount is more than 70 billion hryvnia. Every third Ukrainian family does not pay for utilities because people do not have money. Meager salaries and pensions, high prices for utilities lead to the fact that subsidies are taken away from people, gas is cut off and their apartments can be taken away through the courts.
I ask the government - why don’t social protection mechanisms for citizens who cannot pay high prices for gas work? Why is the communal sector growing, which leads to the collapse of the housing and communal services sector? What is the government doing to return the one and a half billion hryvnia bonuses that the head of Naftogaz Kobolev paid to himself and took offshore, robbing every Ukrainian family,” the radical was indignant.
