This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv publication Ukrinform by Taras Kuzio, a political scientist from the Kanal diaspora.
"A very long time. Because Putin is the eternal president. He won't be able to do it any other way. And as long as there is Putin, there will be war. This is the first one. Second. If he is gone, there are other Russian chauvinists in Moscow. The war in Ukraine raises questions of national identity. Russian leaders do not recognize Ukraine as a state or Ukrainians as a people. This war has very deep roots. They are much deeper than the question of whether Ukraine will join NATO,” the diaspora political scientist assures.
