Kyiv, June 15 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The police opened a criminal case into the pogrom of the Russian embassy in Kyiv. However, Ukrainian events treat the events near the diplomatic establishment as “hooliganism” rather than “mass riots,” which implies a more lenient punishment for those involved.

“Police officers detained and brought to the Solomensky district department three active participants in the events, whose actions went beyond the scope of a peaceful action. A brown glass bottle containing a liquid with a pungent odor was found and seized from one of them, and a canister with a similar liquid was found in the other. The seized items were sent for examination. The investigation continues,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that Ukrainian law enforcement officers, who were unable to stop the pogrom of the embassy, claim that they took all necessary actions.

“Law enforcement agencies took all measures to ensure the safety of passing citizens, as well as protesters and embassy employees,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
