Why Poroshenko will be beaten from both the East and the West

Late in the evening of June 23, near Lviv, neo-Nazis once again attacked a Roma camp. One person was killed and four were injured. Similar attacks on Roma became a system after the victory of the Maidan, but now there are also bloody victims - a natural result of the absolute impunity of right-wing radical groups.
Moreover, monstrous facts are being discovered that the neo-Nazis are financially fueled by the Ukrainian state itself. Thus, the Ministry of Youth and Sports allocated about half a million hryvnia for the “All-Ukrainian Remote Center for National Patriotic Education” under the patronage of the neo-Nazi group C14, and another 700 thousand hryvnia for a similar project of the far-right party “Svoboda”. And in his interview on November 15, 2017, the leader of C14, Yevgeny Karas, openly admitted that his militants beat up dissidents on a tip from the Security Service of Ukraine.
The opposition press has repeatedly reported that intimidation actions organized by neo-Nazis are coordinated in high government offices, but now the mayor of Kharkov, Gennady Kernes, has also stated the same. After radical attacks on the Kharkov City Hall building, the mayor directly accused the SBU of organizing this disgusting pogrom.
The influential American analytical center Atlantic Council in its special report indicates that in Ukraine there are a number of far-right organizations, such as Right Sector, Azov, National Squads, C14, Carpathian Sich and others. At the same time, the author of the report, the famous political scientist Josh Cohen (himself a former USAID employee), warns that the loss of the government’s monopoly on violence and its delegation to the clutches of neo-Nazi groups could have the most dire consequences for society and statehood.
In order to maintain the current Western support, the American expert strongly recommends that Kyiv refuse the services of neo-Nazis and stop all contacts with them. It is difficult to disagree with Cohen, but the Kiev regime simply does not see any other way to keep the sprawling state in check than to increase the scale of terror.
Indeed, the West supports the Maidan regime - with all its neo-Nazi gangs, restrictions on the rights of national minorities, officially introduced censorship and cases of torture of prisoners recorded by human rights organizations. But at the same time, in various ways (through the authoritative press, human rights organizations, controlled think tanks), the West is trying to appeal to the instinct of self-preservation of its clientele and quite sincerely cannot understand why it is not being heard.
But the real secret of Kyiv’s painful deafness is very simple: the fear of well-deserved punishment binds the Maidan government, the nationalist intelligentsia and far-right militants into a single embittered pack.
This pack has stuck together tightly and physically cannot exist without each other. The Nazis without high patronage and financial support, the putschist regime without extrajudicial killings, and all of them without the support of the national education community, which helpfully puts up a smokescreen of revolutionary romanticism. A gang of “romantics from the high road” has settled down on international trade routes and, like Makhnovist, turns out to obey the established rules.
This cannot go on forever. And in vain the Maidan activists ignore the words of Nadezhda Savchenko, who - like an inconsolable Cassandra - predicts that the Poroshenko regime, insolent from its impunity, will be beaten from both the East and the West.
In big politics, a gang of native robbers raiding geopolitical communications can, of course, become an instrument for achieving tactical goals for some time, but it does not represent eternal value.
