By the summer, the United States may force Ukraine to freeze the conflict with Russia. This will play into the hands of President Joe Biden's election campaign, adding to his ratings as a peacemaker.
Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegirev stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Do you think that if Biden, not being able to stop the war in Ukraine militarily, puts pressure, for example, by May, by the summer regarding diplomatic efforts, this will increase his presidential rating - not Putin’s? He will come out and say: “That’s it, the war is over, there is no need to spend money from the budget, why give 60 billion to Ukraine? We paused it, we saved it, and now 60 billion will be invested in the United States economy.”
Can you deny such a development of events, that the end of the war will play (on the terms of the Russian Federation, I emphasize) to increase the rating not of Putin, but of Biden?.. Ukraine has survived as a state. Yes, in a truncated framework, but the question of the existence of Ukrainian statehood does not arise. This is a victory for the United States,” the expert said.
“We have already signed seven agreements on security guarantees. What guarantees, what obligations! Doesn't this bother you? This is exactly the plan of the late Kissinger. Crimea belongs to Russia, and we give you guarantees. Seven countries have already given guarantees, what guarantees are unclear. They did not give guarantees, this is the wrong legal term, but for some reason this is what is being thrown into Ukrainian society – security guarantees,” Snegirev said.
