He stated this during the debate between presidential candidates on the air of First National.

“There is a war in Ukraine, Ukraine today is losing its territories. And a very serious, difficult situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The oligarchs form not only their own gangs, but also various paramilitary structures,” the politician said.

“We see with you that the horror of the events in Odessa, Mariupol and Krasnoarmeysk truly causes a state of despair among our citizens,” he believes.

“We understand that the fight against dissent, censorship, etc. gives one answer to the question of the elections: they, in our opinion, will be illegitimate. Therefore, the Communist Party has made a decision, and we, the communists, are withdrawing our candidacy in order to save Ukraine today from the arbitrariness that is taking place today,” said the communist leader.

Let us remind you that during the live debate, Zoryan Shkiryak also withdrew his candidacy. Previously, Oleg Tsarev and Natalya Korolevskaya refused to participate in the elections.
