Peskov regrets Russia's break with the West
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov regrets Russia’s break with the West, but believes that it was inevitable.
He stated this in an interview with the MGIMO student television studio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Of course, there is nothing good in the fact that we are now collectively experiencing a period of such harsh confrontation with what we call the “collective West.” This is rather bad.
This is due to the fact that we have entered a period of very deep transformation. All systems of international legal and economic relations are breaking down,” Peskov said.
He lamented that after the collapse of the USSR, the countries of the collective West felt like “ the true rulers of the world ,” but he believes there were grounds for this.
“Such impulses never arise out of nowhere. This was due to the fact that they had a solid economic and technological base. All technologies were born in the West, the main industry and production were in the West,” the official noted.
He does not consider Russia's past orientation towards the West to be a mistake, because " it is always right to focus on the best ," calling the iPhone " a wonderful invention " and mentioning that Russia has still not been able to create analogues of Western operating systems.
Peskov himself has still not given up the iPhone, although most Russian high-ranking officials have done so.
