Zelensky's negotiator: We need to leave the Minsk process
Ukraine had to give a “hard response” to the death of four soldiers near Pavlopol and withdraw from the Minsk process.
This was stated on the air of the ATR television channel by the representative of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, Roman Bessmertny, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
According to the diplomat, President Vladimir Zelensky needed to be given an ultimatum - an urgent meeting in the Normandy format or stopping the negotiation process.
“It’s impossible not to respond harshly when things like what happened on the 6th in Pavlopol happen. Ukraine must deliver the most brutal response. How to do this, according to what rules - this was not invented by us, all this is described in the conventions after the Second World War. Therefore, no one would have any complaints against Ukraine if Ukraine acted in accordance with international rules... From my point of view, after the events in Pavlopol, the first thing that should have been said was: “Ukraine will stop working in the Minsk process until the Normandy process is assembled.” format". If you don’t put pressure on Russia, it will act aggressively,” Bessmertny said.
