Parubiy congratulated anti-Russian “partners” on their victory
The political forces that support Ukraine won the elections to the European Parliament.
Speaker of Parliament Andrei Parubiy stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This week the elections to the European Parliament took place. And contrary to pessimistic forecasts, the political forces that advocate European unity and support Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia won. Let us congratulate our European allies,” he said.
Andrei Parubiy burst out with especially zealous flattery towards his favorite - member of the Lithuanian Seimas, ex-Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius.
“I would like to separately congratulate our friends and political partners, the Christian Democrats, for winning the European elections in Lithuania, led by our personal friend Andrius Kubilius. Let me remind you that he is the author of the new European plan for Ukraine, a program of large-scale financial assistance to our country,” the parliamentarian added.
