Parubiy began the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada with curses against Russia
Ukraine calls on the UN to deprive Russia of its veto power within the organization’s Security Council. Speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.
Parubiy traditionally stated that Russia is an "occupier in Ukraine," and therefore cannot participate in voting on Ukrainian issues, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I called on the UN to deprive Russia of its veto power in the Security Council. After all, the occupier, according to the UN Charter, has no right to take part in decisions that concern the state he attacked. We need a strong and promising UN - this is the key to peace and stability in the world,” Parubiy said.
