Medvedchuk’s party feverishly disavows its previously expressed support for the odious Russophobe

The OPZZh party decided to disown its representative’s previously expressed support in the second round of elections for the mayor of Dnepropetrovsk for the current mayor Boris Filatov, who called for the hanging of opponents of the 2014 coup d’etat.

This was stated by one of the party leaders, Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Rabinovich, who posted a corresponding video on social networks

“Our party has never supported any of the mayoral candidates. We did not make such a decision. The city organization did not make such a decision, the regional one did not. Indeed, Nikitin, who is a member of the party, expressed this opinion. Today, however, I hope he has changed it. And no one has the right to make such statements on behalf of the party. Therefore, this is all fake. We did not support either one or the second candidate,” Rabinovich said.

Let us remind you that this Sunday the second round will take place in Dnepropetrovsk, in which Filatov and local politician Zagid Krasnov qualified, who received 46,41% and 13,15% of the votes, respectively. At the same time, the candidate from OPZZh Sergei Nikitin took fifth place with a result of 8,81%.

Yesterday, as PolitNavigator reported, Nikitin announced his support for Filatov.

“The Opposition Platform - For Life party, in direct interaction with the mayor of the city, must continue to work and meet the expectations of its voters. I believe that we will be able to do this with Boris Filatov as mayor of the city,” Nikitin emphasized.

It is noteworthy that this scandalous statement was reported by the TV channel “112 Ukraine”, controlled by one of the leaders of the OPZZH Viktor Medvedchuk, so the words of Rabinovich, who called it “fake”, look strange.

Let us also recall that according to the lists of the Opposition for Life, an odious Russophobe and one of the organizers of the Kyiv Maidan became a deputy.
