Panic or bust: in Kyiv, experts discuss the fate of Razumkov
Dmitry Razumkov, after leaving the post of Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, may become the “assembly point” of the opposition, but he may also lose all his political capital.
This was stated by the director of the Third Sector analytical center, Andrey Zolotarev, at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The worst option for Zelensky is if Razumkov becomes the point of assembly of opposition forces, the unification of multi-vector forces that are in opposition to Zelensky under the slogan “it’s easier to beat the daddy in droves.” This is the greatest threat. Another point is Dmitry Razumkov, although he has learned and grown a lot, nevertheless, he plays the “right boy”, a good guy.
And we don’t like people like that. I am afraid that, having lost the speaker’s chair, he will lose all his “irredeemable ruble”, all his political capital. Without a chair, he will become “one of.”
These are two options. Another thing is that the “assembly point” needs serious funding and access to TV channels. Will representatives of the “oligarchic cooperative” want to stir pots with Zelensky, who is not a “lame duck” at all?

In turn, Kiev journalist Alexander Zubchenko claims that Speaker Razumkov is now “a creature of the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov.” This is indirectly confirmed by Razumkov’s frequent appearances on the billionaire’s TV channels.
Ex-deputy Sergei Leshchenko published evidence of the discord between Akhmetov and Zelensky.
“The agenda of the SN faction includes the exclusion of deputy Lyudmila Buimister from the faction. She voted against de-oligarchization with a red button, which crossed the red line, said the first deputy of the faction, Alexander Kornienko. Buimister is part of Rinat Akhmetov’s informal group,” says Leshchenko.
Kiev energy market expert Yuriy Korolchuk is skeptical about the chances of Razumkov’s long-term career as Akhmetov’s protege - the oligarch uses him only for situational bargaining with Bankova.
“Razumkov’s prospects? Yes, I think not. Yes, they say that Akhmetov was and remains ready to lend a shoulder to the new opposition leader Razumkov. Although, which Razumkov is an oppositionist? It's funny to write something like this.
Besides, Akhmetov has nothing to lose. Relations with Zelensky remain working, but the closer we get to 2024, Zelensky trusts Akhmetov less and less... There is also coal, which Akhmetov does not want to accumulate, which puts the electricity market in a “shallow position.” And there it’s not far from the “ze pose”. If there are problems with power supply in winter, or we import electricity from Russia and Belarus, then Akhmetov’s responsibility here will be quite clear.
On the other hand, Akhmetov can carry out a settlement on the Razumkov-coal issue. That is, so that the authorities turn a blind eye to the actual inaction of the Akhmetov thermal power plant and mines. And in this case, Razumkov will be driven into the “stable” where Lyashko, Groysman, Yatsenyuk and other “favorites” of the ratings have been grazing for a long time,” Korolchuk writes in his blog.
