The monument to Zheglov and Sharapov at the Kyiv Ministry of Internal Affairs was painted in LGBT colors
As a sign of protest against the beating of Nazis at the gay pride parade on June 17, today in Kyiv near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the “activists” dressed the monument to Zheglov and Sharapov in women’s clothing, painted it and attached an LGBT flag.
Nationalist Andrei Medvedko, accused of the murder of Oles Buzina, announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Two men in skirts, bras, and painted lips are a symbol of the modern Ministry of Internal Affairs. A monument that deserves garbage,” Medvedko commented on the photo.
“Law enforcement officers! When your son comes to you and says, “Father, meet me, this is Vasily, he is my wife, we will live with you here in the dorm,” remember how you beat the children with batons on June 17,” the nationalist wrote.
The nationalist group Right Sector also broadcast from the scene on its Facebook page.
Over time, the crowd, including those beaten at the gay pride parade, was surrounded by the national police. Law enforcement officers said that the act of vandalism amounted to hooliganism; the “activists” did not hesitate to call the police “pid###sami.”
After twenty minutes of argument, law enforcement officers, of whom there were an indecent number, detained the protesters.
“Everyone was packed. They take me to the Pechersk police department. I feel like a Russian blogger. There they also screw for nothing. And the same sad posts are written,” Andrei Medvedko commented dejectedly.
