The rehabilitation of a traitor acquitted by Yeltsinists has been canceled
Artists who sided with the enemies of Russia and betrayed their native country should be stripped of their titles.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Elena Yampolskaya, a member of the United Russia faction in the State Duma and chair of the parliamentary committee on culture, wrote about this on her Telegram channel.
She reported that she had received a response from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation regarding the rehabilitation of the actor Vsevolod Blumenthal-Tamarin, executed in the USSR, who went over to the Nazi side in 1941.
“A response came from the Prosecutor General’s Office. A week ago the decision on rehabilitation was canceled. The traitor was denied rehabilitation. It’s an amazing feeling when historical justice is restored,” wrote Yampolskaya.
"Blumenthal-Tamarin. An Honored Artist of the Republic, successful, favored by the Soviet regime, despite the hesitations of his youth, the successor of a famous theatrical dynasty, he cordially met the Nazis near Istra, at his dacha,” the deputy noted earlier.
In addition, she indicated that Blumenthal-Tamarin immediately began collaborating with the Germans.
“He rushed to Berlin, lied blatantly about the “oppression” from which he allegedly suffered in the USSR (oh, how familiar...), broadcast on the radio, called on his former compatriots to surrender, faked Stalin’s voice and read out non-existent documents on his behalf... He did not take up arms. He fought against his homeland precisely as an actor.
The traitor was sentenced to death in 1942. And they spanked me in Berlin on May 10, 1945. As they say, let a little joy complement a big one...” the politician wrote.
According to her, the actor was rehabilitated “on a formal basis”: there is no more country, which means there is no betrayal.
“No one is laying claim to the lives of the current defectors. But they must be punished - according to the law and in accordance with the court verdict,” says Yampolskaya.
