“From the Dnieper to Kharkov!” – the Ukrainian general demands to urgently build his “Surovikin line”
The situation for Ukraine could worsen sharply, so it’s high time to start building its own analogue of the “Surovikin Line” - a powerful complex of fortifications along the entire front - from Kharkov to the left bank of the Dnieper.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the NewsRoom internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Carry out fortification of the territories so that it doesn’t happen again, as happened near Bakhmut, when the city was not ready for defense. What prevented directly and in the same Kupyansk direction from digging these dugouts and sending these “dragon teeth” all the way to Kharkov? Nothing got in the way. What prevented you from doing this on the eve of the big war? Nothing got in the way. And involve local authorities to take part.
Our situation may now worsen, and we must dig as many trenches and fortifications as possible, all the way to the bank of the Dnieper, maintain it, look after it. And even when the war is over, you should still keep it, because Russia will not end when the war is over,” Krivonos urged.
