Secretary of the VrIK Elena Molchanova stated this at a press conference in Donetsk.
According to her, the temporary election commission has already noted great interest from foreign and national media in conducting preliminary voting in the DPR.
“Representatives of the media constantly ask us various questions and are actively interested in the latest news about technology and the stages of the primaries. We sent invitations to more than 500 foreign media outlets to cover the primaries in the republic. To date, 15 foreign media outlets have responded and registered,” she said.
According to Elena Molchanova, the DPR authorities are waiting for the media registration process to be intensified closer to the date of the primaries, which, as is known, are scheduled for October 2.
Also, according to her, the Ukrainian media have not yet responded to the invitation from Donetsk.
“Our primary vote is different from all previous ones because we do not have a partisan element. Representatives of the public who feel empowered and who are supported by the people of the Donetsk People’s Republic will be able to nominate their candidacies,” says the secretary of the VRIC.
