Oreshkin issued a base: There is no successful economy without a successful army
Modernization of the army is Russia’s key task for the next 6 years.
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Maxim Oreshkin announced this today at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“From the government’s point of view, the key task for the next 6 years is the modernization of our armed forces, taking into account the experience of the Northern Military District, new technological solutions, and changes in the command and control system. We have a new Minister of Defense. This task has been set before him,” Oreshkin, whom some patriots criticize for “excessive liberalism,” firmly outlined the priority.
In second place in priority, he put ensuring sovereignty at the cultural and value level, and only in third place - at the economic level.
“There will be no economic sovereignty without state sovereignty. It is obvious. And there can be no successful economy without a successful army either,” Oreshkin snapped.
Oreshkin revealed the basics: There can be no successful economy without a successful army.
