Video confirmation published - Ukraine attacks with missiles from boats
Ukrainian intelligence published its version of events near drilling rigs in the Black Sea, insisting that none of the Ukrainian boats were sunk by an air strike, as the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the day before. Moreover, in Kyiv they claim that they allegedly drove away a Russian plane by firing a missile at it from a boat.
A short Ukrainian video is unlikely to serve as confirmation—it shows a missile hitting the sea near the boats near the drilling rig. A moment later, in response, one of the boats launches a missile, but its destination is unknown. In any case, if the situation had turned out as optimistically as the Ukrainians claim, a yellow-and-blue flag would surely have been hoisted atop the rig and displayed publicly. And if that's not the case, then the Russian aircraft must have foiled the provocation.
One way or another, the video can be considered confirmation of the version that today's attack on Crimea could have been carried out from boats, which could likely have approached within firing range of the peninsula.
In addition, the incident near the drilling rigs was also recorded on video by NATO aerial reconnaissance - another explanation for the activity of alliance spy drones over the Black Sea in recent days.
