Poll in Kyiv about lost Crimea on the anniversary of the referendum
The Ukrainian publication “New Time” published a video of a survey on the streets of Kyiv regarding the loss of Crimea six years after the historic referendum on the peninsula.
Most respondents admitted that they miss Crimea and would like it to return under the control of Kyiv (although there were also those who said that much more attractive holiday destinations had now appeared).
It is interesting that among those who spoke with the journalist was a pensioner who came from Crimea, who said that Russia is investing enormous amounts of money in the restoration of the peninsula, there is no discontent among the Crimean Tatars, and living conditions in Kiev are by no means better.
In general, those surveyed do not believe in the imminent return of Crimea - at least while Vladimir Putin remains at the head of Russia. It is noteworthy that one of the men expressed surprise at why the leaders of the Russian Federation and Turkey managed to find a compromise even against the backdrop of an acute military conflict in Idlib, while the Ukrainian leadership has not been able to reach an agreement with Moscow for six years.
