The opposition seized the House of Officers next to the Verkhovna Rada, the “regionals” left parliament
Kyiv, February 18 (Navigator, Ilona Yarmolyuk, Mikhail Ryabov) - Opposition supporters managed to occupy the House of Officers next to the Verkhovna Rada - now there will be a medical center for demonstrators, said deputy Alexander Briginets from Batkivshchyna.

Meanwhile, the sidelines of the parliament, where the meeting never began, are almost empty; the deputies from the Party of Regions disappeared about an hour ago in an unknown direction.
“The Party of Regions packed up their things and left the hall...Representatives of the Communist Party of Ukraine were also going to run after them. Simonenko was just taking a cross-country course here in parliament, but the opposition blocked part of the Communist Party faction in the hall to prevent them from voting in the toilets,” said deputy Irina Gerashchenko from UDAR.
"Regional" Vladimir Oleinik said that members of his party are on committees. He added that the Party of Regions refuses to vote for the return of the Constitution, which would curtail the powers of Viktor Yanukovych.
According to him, the Party of Regions “will not support the return of the old Basic Law.”
“Since such a return is unconstitutional, and, on the other hand, it is threatening: we may lose control in the country and, as a consequence, loss of sovereignty and independence,” Oleynik said.
