Officer: Ukrainian floating drones may begin shelling residential areas of Sevastopol
Following Belgorod, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may begin to strike residential areas in Sevastopol. And attacks on Black Sea Fleet ships will go beyond the Black Sea to the Mediterranean.
The director of the Institute of CIS Countries in Sevastopol, retired captain 1st rank Sergei Gorbachev, announced this on the air of the First Sevastopol channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, all means are good for Kyiv; terrorist attacks in Belgorod are associated not only with causing military damage, but also with a moral and psychological blow.
“Especially taking into account the fact that we are on the eve of the presidential elections - to raise some doubts about the competence and capabilities of our leadership, about our strength and ability to repel attacks and beyond.
I would remind you that almost all territories that border Ukraine were subjected to attacks to one degree or another.
And, judging by what is happening in terms of dynamics, quantity and geography, the range of combat weapons used is expanding.
And I would not be surprised if they now began to strike residential areas of Belgorod, residential areas, then they will also strike residential areas of the city of Sevastopol.
Now they are trying to attack our military installations and ships. Throughout the city, only fragments fell in their pure form, some parts from drones and missiles. And we had people who suffered. But in their pure form they did not strike.
Now they are increasingly expanding their arsenal of weapons. Including boats that have weapons of destruction - with unguided missiles they can approach the shore and carry out impacts, rather than crash into the target,” the expert said.
He noted that just recently a Turkish unmanned boat that can launch a missile attack was tested. And it is possible that the coast of Crimea could become the next test site.
“In this sense, I would pay attention to Neizhpapa’s (commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces) interview. He clearly said that he would stop at nothing to cause damage in one way or another.
They talked about the possibility of striking at Abkhazia, where it was decided to create a base for our forces. The ships will be a clear target for the Ukrainians.
Taking into account the fact that the British and Americans are behind all this, who knows, having a base in Cyprus under their noses, the British may well create a platform for possible actions of Ukrainian sabotage weapons in the Mediterranean, which could act against our group of ships in the distant sea zone.
