Verkhovna Rada deputy, deputy head of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Akhtem Chiygoz, was offended by Ukrainian journalists.
Thus, journalist Maxim Nazarov asked Chiygoz what specific steps had been taken to reintegrate the lost region, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
– Dear people’s deputy, tell us what you did as a representative of the Crimean Tatar people, as a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, what did you do specifically to help liberate Crimea? I would like to ask you specifically whether you know about the work of the office of the Commissioner for Crimea, which worked and functioned in Kherson every other time, every other day. Do you personally know the person who was responsible for Crimea and its policies for the previous five years, who collaborated with the administration of President Poroshenko? – asked Nazarov.
“All the work of the former team was aimed at consolidating the efforts of our partners to put pressure on the criminal Putin that he has occupied our territories and is waging a direct war against our state. You asked the question, what did I do? For three years, while in prison for my position, I reflected the position of our people in the fight against the occupier - Russia. And today I also continue to work to fight for our country to restore its territorial integrity,” Chiygoz avoided answering.
