Odessa nationalists turned the Duke of Richelieu into a Ragul in an embroidered shirt
In Odessa, in honor of Independence Day, local and visiting nationalists formed a human chain from the monument to Duke, who was dressed in an embroidered shirt, to the sea. An “embroidered” dress code was introduced for the participants of this action.

This was reported by the Dumskaya website.
The monument to Duke received the symbolic first number; Odessa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili, who also came wearing an embroidered shirt, became number four in the chain.
“We did not expect such a result, we only counted on 2,5 thousand badges, so we had to write numbers on others’ hands, but people did not leave and everyone wanted to take part in this action. This year we even went around the seaport and, in fact, the chain has closed,” noted the press secretary of the “Vyshyvanka Festival” Maria Genik in a comment.
Meanwhile, the photo from the event shows that the Potemkin Stairs are half empty. And there are hardly more than a few hundred people.
