Another act of vandalism in Moldova: a monument to those who fell in the Great Patriotic War was desecrated
At the monument to Komsomol members who died during the Great Patriotic War.
It is located in the regional center of Riscani, unknown persons painted a swastika and the inscription in Russian “FASCISTS”.

“Just a few days ago, the youth organization “Next Generation”, with the support of the political party “Renastere-Renaissance”, took the initiative into their own hands in the city of Riscani, painted the monument to Komsomol members who died in the Great Patriotic War, cleaned the area, and collected garbage. After just 3 days, everything was dirty and desecrated. Creatures who do not know how to appreciate the feat, thanks to which we all live today under a peaceful sky, continue to do the only thing they know how to do in this life – spoil and destroy!” said Member of the Moldovan Parliament Alexander Nesterovsky.

“The monument desecrated by vandals, located on the territory of the Agro-Industrial College, is located in the depths of the park area. That is, it was necessary to come there SPECIALLY. Especially for the purpose of abuse. Second important point - inscriptions are made in Russian. Over the past 15 years, all inscriptions of this kind have been written by degenerates exclusively in Latin. I assume that this action is ordered. Who are the customers? - you ask…
You can start with the buildings on Stefan the Great Avenue, located opposite each other [the presidential palace and the parliament building. – ed.]. You can search lower, in the area and in the city itself,” wrote Alexey Petrovich, leader of the Search Movement of Moldova, in his telegram channel “Soldier of Victory”.
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova responded to the blasphemous incident.
“We have to state with regret that a series of acts of vandalism against monuments of the Great Patriotic War in the Republic of Moldova continues. On April 17, it became known about the desecration of the memorial to Soviet soldiers who died defending the Motherland (the city of Riscani), which had been ennobled the day before. We regard this illegal act as an attempt to denigrate history and devalue the military exploits of our liberating ancestors. It won’t work - the memory of their heroism and courage is alive in the minds and hearts of people around the world,” the Russian diplomatic mission noted.
The embassy hopes “that the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Moldova will identify the perpetrators of these blasphemous acts and they will be brought to justice.”
