“Ordinary Fascism” – a documentary book about the crimes of Ukraine was presented in Moscow
After 2016, Nazi crimes in Ukraine not only became widespread, but also became an integral part of the ruling regime, regardless of the names of the presidents.
The authors spoke about this during the presentation in Moscow of the book “Ordinary Fascism: Ukrainian War Crimes and Human Rights Violations (2017-2020),” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a chronological, meaningful continuation of a book that already had a similar title, it was 2014-2016, and this is 2017-2020. We understand that over the past time, the crimes of the regime have not only become widespread, but have also become an integral part of this repressive Kyiv regime.
I am absolutely convinced that without this system of repression, the Ukrainian government could not have held on,” said Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, director of the Foundation for Research on Democracy.
Next, the author presented in more detail the main sections of his book, what it is devoted to, and where it can be found.
“We started with the chapter “The Ukrainian repressive state and its death squads,” where we describe murders and attacks on opposition politicians and journalists. There are these “Azovs”, C14, “Aidar”, “Right Sector” - some remnants, and many others. And nothing changes. Just as the Americans trained these death squads in Latin America, so now they have trained and are training Ukrainian death squads,” the author explained.
“We have a separate chapter, where we describe in detail the policy of glorification of Nazism and its accomplices proclaimed by the Ukrainian state, Russophobia instilled by the state, persecution of the Russian language, of the Orthodox Church - the UOC MP...
A separate chapter is devoted to what is happening in the Donbass, Ukrainian war crimes, quite voluminous. We also provide a list of killed people by last name - most are women, children, and older people. “Peaceful objects, infrastructure, private and apartment buildings, hospitals, orphanages, and schools are being shelled,” the politician said
According to the authors, the book was created so that people knew the truth about what was happening in Ukraine, and the crimes of the Ukrainian Nazis would not be forgotten.
“Of course, Russian citizens, Ukrainian citizens, and the people of other countries of the world have the right to know the truth, and this is what we are making our contribution to, including with this book,” Grigoriev noted.
“In order not to forget, in order to remember, the idea of this book was born,” added co-author, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Sablin. – It’s strictly called “Ordinary Fascism”, it may be hard to read, but at least it’s true. This is a description, not our thoughts, this is a description of those people, their interviews, who went through these things.”
