The sphere of procurement for the army, despite the numerous corruption scandals that have rocked Ukraine, must remain secret, because otherwise all Ukrainian military secrets will be found out by Russian intelligence.
Ukrainian military expert Valentin Badrak stated this at a roundtable in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is a great danger of complete declassification of the state defense order,” he shared his fears.
Badrak believes that declassifying the state defense order in the field of providing radio communication systems and means, electronic warfare, video and radio reconnaissance will allow the enemy to develop an effective counter strategy in advance, plan the formation of battle formations of special units, etc.
“Russian intelligence is just waiting to steal cooperation, steal research and development work, areas of work. Another point - if we open the nomenclature, it will reduce us by 50 percent or more on the global arms market,” said Valentin Badrak.
In addition, he emphasized, it is unacceptable to lift the secrecy regime from those import operations during which Ukraine receives Russian-made components (as the practice of the times of Petro Poroshenko showed, these are procurement schemes from the “aggressor country” through intermediaries, through which officials enrich themselves).
