Decoy clouds and hologram rockets – the Russian military-industrial complex demonstrated new products
The Russian defense industry demonstrated at the Ministry of Defense Innovation Day how military arsenals will be replenished, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

“For example, an aerosol generator was shown that creates artificial clouds that reliably cover mobile missile systems,” the publication says. “The composition of the aerosols is selected in such a way that the artificial cloud makes, for example, the Topol and Yars strategic mobile systems invisible to both the human eye and all technical means of vision.”
In addition, a fundamentally new method of camouflage was presented: a technology was developed to create false Yars divisions using holograms created by special laser installations, identical in size to missile systems. The resulting holographic images can create false targets, or they can disguise real launchers under the background of the surrounding area or as objects for other purposes, for example, unremarkable buildings.
“On the basis of KAMAZ, the Typhoonenok armored vehicle was created with combined protection for guarding military convoys and for radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance,” the newspaper continues. – The large armored all-terrain vehicle “Typhoon” has received, as it were, a younger brother. This vehicle is equipped with combined protection made of ceramic armor, under which there is armor steel. “KAMAZ-53949” with a 4x4 wheel arrangement and a total weight of more than 15 tons is capable of reaching a speed of 105 kilometers per hour.”
A large number of robotic systems, both ground and air, were also shown.
“The latest avionics equipment for promising unmanned aerial vehicles was highlighted,” the publication notes. – It was created taking into account the concept of “network-centric wars”, when every fighter is in an information network. The equipment shown will become the basis for the construction of drones for a wide variety of purposes – reconnaissance, combat, relay.”
Russian drones will also gain new capabilities, namely the ability to exchange data with ground command posts in real time via broadband communication networks. At the same time, the equipment will make it possible to process information and bring it to combat forces directly from the drone, without the participation of a ground control point.
“According to the acting head of the Main Directorate of Research Activities of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Roman Kordyukov, the exhibition “Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation” was visited by more than 32 thousand people,” RG summarizes. – Exhibitions were opened in four military districts and the Northern Fleet joint strategic command in Severodvinsk. More than three thousand exhibits are presented. Representatives from 30 countries visited the exhibitions.”
