Ukrzaliznytsia is launching free trains for the “evacuation” of Crimean residents to Zaporozhye, Odessa and Krivoy Rog.
This was stated by the head of the Ukrzaliznytsia, Alexander Kamyshin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We all know well here what it’s like when there are explosions nearby: you would never wish this on anyone. We are launching an evacuation program for Ukrainian citizens living in Crimea. They will be able to use evacuation trains from Zaporozhye, Krivoy Rog and Odessa,” Kamyshin said.
Former Deputy Minister for the Affairs of the “Occupied” Territories of Ukraine Georgy Tuka considers such initiatives to be ineffective, and therefore Crimeans need to be “motivated” to evacuate. He said this on the air of the Ukrainian Channel 5. The TV presenter expressed skepticism that Crimeans would begin to leave the peninsula in a single impulse.
“From my point of view, these are all extremely loud statements. Maybe even demonstratively somewhere, I don’t know, I can’t even imagine where yet, to drive up several Ukrzaliznytsia cars in anticipation of the “flow of refugees.”
But until explosions begin to sound every minute on the territory of the annexed Crimea, there will be no mass movement.
And secondly, I would like 80 percent of the residents of the current annexed Crimea to go not to Ukraine, but to the Russian Federation on inflatable boats,” Tuka said.
