After the not fully confirmed news of the murder in Spain, allegedly, of the traitor pilot from Russia Maxim Kuzminov, who hijacked a Russian military helicopter in 2023, the enemies of the Russian Federation located in the EU became very tense.
Kiev journalist Alexander Shelest and former Verkhovna Rada deputy, participant in the punitive operation against the LDPR Igor Mosiychuk spoke about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The day before, Mosiychuk criticized the information that had emerged about the murder and even called the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, which was disseminating it, "a disgrace to Ukrainian intelligence." However, according to him, the facts were later confirmed.
“Whether his personal carelessness or the miscalculations of our special services were to blame - I think it’s a complex thing. Acted like an idiot. I think for him the safest place in the world was our Kyiv, but he decided like this. The Russian GRU confirmed its reputation, which was described by Alexander Suvorov in his books.
For us this is a miscalculation. I don’t think that he should have been released from Kyiv, because this is in the interests of state security and in the interests of war. His example made it possible to be infectious. It was because of this that he was executed,” the ex-deputy said.
Shelest, in turn, suggested that after this incident many people would be alarmed - “it doesn’t matter whether they are Russian violent oppositionists or Ukrainian peculiar characters.” According to him, “if Russian intelligence allows itself to act this way, then this absolutely changes approaches.”
“The war is on the sly, for now it is a war of cloak and dagger, but it is spreading to the territory of the EU. Whether it will lead to a hot phase, I cannot say. Is this the last political murder on EU territory? Political, because he was, as it were, given a European roof. Yes, I think that such cases will continue,” Mosiychuk commented.
Let us note that the Russian side practically did not comment on the incident at the official level.
“We don’t have any information on this matter,” said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“This traitor and criminal became a moral corpse already at the moment when he was planning his dirty and terrible crime,” responded the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, when asked to comment on media reports about Kuzminov’s death.
