Nikolaev and Kherson are the next hot spots in Ukraine
In the southeastern regions of Ukraine, an interethnic conflict may flare up in the near future.
The ex-commander of the international brigade “Pyatnashka” Akhra “Abkhaz” Avidzba said this on the Zello channel “ATO Donetsk,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The powder keg is the Kherson and Nikolaev regions. They planned for the Crimean Tatars, who supported Ukraine, to receive Tatar autonomy in the Kherson region,” said the ex-battalion commander.
In his opinion, this could provoke a conflict between the Russian residents of Kherson and Nikolaev and the Crimean Tatars.
“The Russian population that lives in Kherson and Nikolaev will become agitated and may flare up. Interreligious and national strife may arise there,” Taruta emphasized.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that Kyiv fears the situation in Armyansk, Crimea, will lead to residents of the Kherson region rising up in rebellion and deciding to independently demolish the dam blocking the North Crimean Canal.
