There’s no way they’ll get drunk: Ukrainian generals demand more money
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing an acute shortage of budget funding, which negatively affects the combat effectiveness of the army.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Muzhenko, stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian edition of the Air Force, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have calculated the amount - about 112 billion, this is the minimum requirement of the Armed Forces. This year 86 billion were allocated, and next year they plan to allocate 72 billion. This is clearly not enough to keep the Armed Forces in a combat-ready state, not to mention increasing the combat capability of the Armed Forces,” the Army General noted.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stated that military salaries should be increased before those of public sector employees.
Andriy Biletsky, founder of the neo-Nazi Azov Regiment, head of the National Corps, and Verkhovna Rada deputy, previously raised the issue of Ukrainian businessmen-deputies mastering schemes to launder state funds by organizing private enterprises to produce low-quality weapons and sell them to the army.
