The notorious Ukrainian nationalist and former MP Iryna Farion, when calling the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine "slaves or occupiers," allegedly did not mean all Russian speakers, but only those who resist forced Ukrainization.
The scandalous Ukrainian writer Larisa Nitsoi stated this on the Magnolia TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Wait, Mrs. Irina is talking about the Russian-speaking population that resists the Ukrainian language. Then we figure out for ourselves what she meant. You say that she says this to everyone, but I’m saying that not to everyone, but only to those who are against the Ukrainian language.
“Russian-speaking population” is said in the context that these are those who are against the Ukrainian language, who said: “We were like this, we will be like this and we don’t want your Ukrainian language.” These are the people he talks about. So you are either occupiers or slaves if you don’t want the language of this land, which has always been here along with this people,” Nitsoi said.
At the same time, in her opinion, it was because of Russian-speaking people that Donbass separated from Ukraine.
"Why did it happen? Because, look, those people who spoke Ukrainian remained in Ukraine, defend Ukraine and Ukrainian values, and they stopped the war precisely on those borders where there was more Ukrainian language. And where the Russian language was, these people and these regions went there,” says Nitsoi.
