The blood and destruction that the Ukrainian army brought to Donbass make it impossible for Donbass to remain in a single political space with Ukraine.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on Solovyov LIVE, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Donbass, taking into account the blood, the destruction, the number of ruined destinies that Ukraine brought, can no longer exist in any one political component [with Ukraine]. The Minsk agreements still allow, but these are already illusory hopes, to discuss the conditions of the neighborhood, but Ukraine even crosses this out,” said Pushilin.
According to him, the number of provocations from the Armed Forces of Ukraine is only increasing, but the republics of Donbass are ready to defend their choice made in the referendum in 2014.
“The number of personnel and equipment is also quite serious. For our part, we are ready. We are ready not only now, but throughout this entire difficult path of Donbass, but which he chose for himself. We consciously made our choice in May 2014 - nothing has changed. Moreover, over the years our choice has become stronger, and we understand that we definitely did the right thing back then; it simply couldn’t have happened any other way,” the head of the DPR emphasized.
