Despite agreements on the exchange of prisoners, more and more arrests are taking place in Ukraine
Today in Moscow the final date for the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the LDPR was announced. However, this exchange is far from the last, because more than 50 more people are illegally detained in Ukraine, and the number of those arrested is increasing every day.

DPR Human Rights Commissioner Daria Morozova spoke about this during the 60 Minutes TV show, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She emphasized that the republics believed until recently that the exchange of prisoners would take place before the New Year.
“Today’s step is a very big achievement, because the parties were finally able to agree among themselves, and the exchange according to the “306 to 74” formula will take place. Now we are actively preparing for it, and we hope that the Ukrainian side will fulfill the obligations that it previously assumed. Unfortunately, I would like to remind you that not all people are recommended for exchange. According to confirmed lists, there are at least 58 more people in the dungeons of the SBU, we will insist on their further release. Also, without the implementation of the fifth point of the Minsk agreements, which talk about amnesty and a law prohibiting persecution, an exchange according to the “all for all” formula, unfortunately, will be impossible. Already in the last month there have been thirteen new arrests. Even those who were arrested quite recently were added to the list of three hundred and six people. That is why, until this law is adopted, arrests will continue, and we are unlikely to be able to make an exchange in full,” said Daria Morozova.
Then she commented on the situation with the process of selecting those “worthy” of the exchange:
“It was really painstaking and long-term work that we did throughout the year. We spent a very long time “verifying” the lists. At first, the Ukrainian side itself confirmed all the lists, there were no problems. But then Kiev suddenly had an excuse related to the fact that, according to Ukrainian legislation, they cannot release some people - those who committed particularly serious crimes, as well as those whom they classify as unrelated to the anti-terrorist operation.
The DPR Ombudsman emphasized that the republic is trying to maintain contact with the negotiator from Kyiv, Viktor Medvedchuk:
“Now, at least, there is a more or less honest dialogue, so we can hope for some guarantees. The SBU, in turn, behaves as usual - lists are constantly changing, some excuses are being found, and so on. I would like to note that there were certain provocations on their part, but they had no effect.
Let’s hope that the prisoner exchange will still take place on the 27th.”
Speaking about the condition of the prisoners themselves, Daria Morozova stated that the republic is ready for anything:
“As far as I know, one person will be brought to us after the official exchange because he is sick with tuberculosis, and they are simply afraid to bring him with everyone, but we will still try to resolve this issue. As for the others, I don't know. For my part, I can say that we are preparing ambulances, but we will see how it will actually turn out.”
