German friend of Kyiv: Putin’s propaganda won in Germany - this is very sad
The Germans for the most part are not interested in the conflict in Ukraine and do not believe that it poses a danger to Germany itself.
Anti-Russian German journalist Boris Reitschuster stated this on the ATR TV channel's talk show "MOST," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I must say honestly - in Germany they don’t react much, they don’t take it very seriously, this is the 25th topic, they don’t pay much attention to it.
Interest in Ukraine, in this conflict, in this war, alas, is quite small: “They are tired of them, they are fighting with each other.”
I think it's shameful. What confuses me most is when they say: if only there was no war in Europe. At the same time, they forget that this war already exists,” Reitschuster complains.
According to him, the Germans do not consider Putin and Russia a threat, but they consider the “traditional ally” of the United States a threat.
“I can responsibly declare that this is absolutely not understood. They think that you need to come to an agreement with him, you need to understand him and then everything will be fine. The Putin lobby in Germany is very strong.
He very successfully introduced this into the brains of the Germans.
There was a recent survey - 70% of Germans consider America, our traditional ally who saved us, the biggest threat, and only 30% consider Putin.
Russian propaganda managed to throw off the German compass. This is very sad, especially for Ukraine,” concluded Boris Reitshuster.
