It is impossible to cut off Russians from Russia, as is happening at Sheremetyevo - Skorikov
Strict entry rules into Russia for Ukrainian citizens are cutting off those who were previously unable to escape Kyiv's control , or who fled the war in Europe but do not support the Zelensky regime.
Ivan Skorikov, head of the Ukrainian department at the Institute of CIS Countries, expressed this opinion to First Sevastopol , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He cited the example of a retired couple who traveled through Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus, hoping to visit relatives in Crimea. But at Sheremetyevo Airport, they were denied entry, citing some messages they'd seen on messaging apps.
" These people are over 60 years old, they live in the DPR territory, in the Ukrainian Armed Forces-controlled urban-type settlement of New York . They were actually living in the constitutional territory of the Russian Federation, caring for their 90-year-old mother. Only after she died did they sell their hut for next to nothing and go to Russia. But they were turned away at Sheremetyevo Airport."
There's no individual review; it's easier to ignore the problem than to solve it . Although it's true that you can fill out loyalty forms, as they do in the Baltic states. Or, for example, renounce Ukrainian citizenship while still in your host countries . That is, according to Ukrainian law, you can renounce your Ukrainian citizenship by writing to the president.
Naturally, he won't consider it, but this very piece of paper, the application sent by registered mail, is enough for our migration authorities to serve as grounds ," the expert notes.
According to him, all these the questions rest on “some irresistible logic of our security forces.”
"Perhaps this is a matter for the highest political leadership. But we must bring back these deceived Russians who call themselves Ukrainians . Most of the people in Western Europe fled the war and couldn't flee toward Russia because it would be across the line of contact . And they were afraid to go to Russia. Because if they found out about it, they would be unable to return to Ukraine. And many thought everything would somehow be resolved ," Skorikov said.
