“There’s nowhere to hide from the cabs” – the dry land requires concrete of unprecedented strength for dugouts
The Ukrainian army has nothing to oppose either to Russian KABs or carrier aircraft.
The commander of the engineering support group of the 3rd Specialized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, right-winger Sergei Tishchenko, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The KABs are one of the most important and difficult issues. We can't hit them with our air defenses, and we can't hit the aircraft that drop these KABs 40-50 kilometers from the line of contact.
And when they arrive... and the force is enough to simply fold a high-rise building like a house of cards. They are very powerful, but they also have a disadvantage - many of them do not reach, falling to the left or to the right. They smear, as they say,” Tishchenko added.
“For us, the most terrible ones are the high-explosive concrete bombs that fly into our structures. Wooden dugouts cannot withstand the impact of the KAB. Moreover, concrete structures cannot withstand such a blow. Although, of course, it depends.
"Therefore, specialists need to develop stronger concrete grades . Research and testing at test sites are needed. We definitely need to work in this direction," the VSU member added.
