As PolitNavigator previously reported , Ukrainian experts predict that Ukraine will face a hryvnia collapse, impoverishment, and emigration, as the country's negative trade balance and external debt increase.
“We have a constant negative trade balance. That is, we import more imported goods than we export our own. Based on last year's results, this amount is about seven billion dollars. And in conditions when there is a constant shortage of foreign currency in the country and this currency has to be covered by constant loans on foreign markets, in international organizations, when debts are growing, when more and more debts need to be paid, of course, in these conditions it is impossible to stabilize the hryvnia, it will continue to fall further,” said former Minister of Economy Viktor Suslov on the ZIK TV channel.
Ukraine's negative foreign trade balance has grown to $5 billion.
