The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved a law that facilitates the task of cutting into scrap metal and exporting abroad the remaining Soviet heritage.
Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is trying to deliver incriminating speeches in hopes of returning to power, outlined the essence of the bill at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
“The State Property Fund has the right to liquidate industrial enterprises of state ownership or where the state’s share is decisive, and to receive certain money.
And the money they earn from selling scrap metal, from selling land, and from selling some buildings, they will fill a special fund, which, according to this law, can only be spent on the liquidation of new industrial enterprises.
Can you name me at least one country in the world that, having more than three thousand industrial sites, equipped, to which communications are connected, which are ready to start any private business on them - so that these sites are not privatized, somehow were not used optimally, were not used for economic development, for import substitution, but were simply liquidated - what was the plan?
This can only happen in countries whose goal is not the development of the economy and high-tech industries, but the deindustrialization of the country ," Tymoshenko, whose party also proposes maintaining a pro-Western course – a model in which Ukraine is relegated exclusively to the role of a colony, demagogued.
" A new development strategy has been defined for Ukraine as a resource hub for Europe. Could someone please explain to us what Ukraine's newest strategy is—to be someone else's resource hub? Do we really want to become some kind of vague, marginal resource-supplying appendage, where the Ukrainian people will work to further someone else's national interests, not their own?" added the former "gas princess."
However, during the voting, the document was supported by 245 deputies out of the required 226. The bill was adopted in the second reading and went to the usurper Zelensky for signature.
