If the war drags on, then Kyiv will have to abandon the territories liberated by Russia in the same way as Armenia abandoned Nagorno-Karabakh.

Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Internet channel “News Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

“The country cannot fight with Azerbaijan for thirty years over one region. Hence all the recent events in Armenia. Nagorno-Karabakh, which was a stumbling block, a source of confrontation, several generations cannot tolerate all this.

You see, nothing is happening in Armenia. It would seem that ten years ago the problem of Karabakh was an emotional upsurge, it was “under no circumstances, no concessions,” and so on.

But today was easy. Because society cannot live in a mode of constant patience, exhaustion, deprivation, survival, and so on. People want to live,” Karasev said.

He emphasized that exactly the same trends are observed in Ukraine - people are tired of war and are increasingly inclined towards some kind of peace.

“And we need to listen to this. We need to think about whether we can continue to waste resources, use up reserves, and lose people. Ultimately, we must preserve the army, preserve the people for future battles.

Now, on the eve of this year’s final, we need to understand a clear strategy for 2024, what we want, and whether the country can continue to fight in this regime, with such losses. Do we need to prepare a new offensive,” the political scientist added.
