The “regional” mayor of Yalta, imposed by Donetsk, resigned
Yalta, February 24 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – The mayor of Yalta Sergei Ilash resigned. The city council supported this decision almost unanimously.
As a Navigator correspondent reports, Ilash voiced his desire to leave the post of mayor of Yalta at a meeting of the Party of Regions faction that took place the day before, so as not to “aggravate the situation in the city.” At noon, an extraordinary session of the Yalta City Council took place, at which Ilash announced his resignation of his own free will. 44 deputies out of 45 present voted in favor.

In accordance with the regulations, City Council Secretary Sergei Karnaukh became acting mayor.
