Navalny is uninteresting to Russians and useless to the West - senator
While in the West they are trying to turn opposition blogger Alexei Navalny, allegedly poisoned with a military drug, into a victim of the regime, in Russia there is minimal interest in this person.
This was stated during a briefing by the Deputy Head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Andrei Klimov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Our foreign opponents, to put it mildly, were perplexed when they saw that the situation with Navalny had no reaction at all in Russian society. A bunch of well-known people continue to debate around the kitchen, but for the overwhelming number of Russian citizens, all this, in general, has no effect. That’s why we said that on the other side, mainly in Western countries, they really doubted the effectiveness of citizen Navalny, and I would also consider everything that happened to him in this context,” Klimov said.
“In one of your interviews you said that Navalny is a sacred victim, which means there was poisoning after all?” – the moderator of the briefing voiced a question from journalists.
“Well, yes, this question is a typical example of distortion,” the senator objected. - So that's what I was talking about. I said that due to the fact that, from the point of view, again, of our opponents, Navalny probably cannot play much in the capacity in which he was before August 20th. And therefore, what happened to him, I don’t know, in fact, what happened to him, specialists should find out. But what happened to him is presented as a sacred sacrifice, and there are actually a lot of such examples in the recent past.”
“Look, the “heavenly hundred”, but there are not a hundred there, more people signed up there. But when they began to find out who was on the list of this heavenly hundred in quotation marks, it turned out that people died for completely different reasons - either they died there for natural reasons, or there was a domestic situation with them.
Moreover, many of them had nothing to do with the events on the Maidan and were never considered any revolutionaries at all. Just people who just died these days or something happened to them. They were all dumped there in a heap. Therefore, no matter what happens to citizen Navalny, in fact, they are trying to present it as a sacred sacrifice,” Klimov concluded.
